Tennis Galaxy of Apopka is Home of the Volt Method: “Think it. Do it. Feel it.”

We teach people of all ages and physical abilities how to connect and optimize their thoughts, actions, and senses to build and refine their athletic performance. The three-step process of thinking it, then doing it, and then “feeling it” creates an internal feedback loop that accelerates progress. The Volt Method promotes healthy tennis techniques while also benefitting all areas of motor learning. Serving Apopka and Central Florida, Tennis Galaxy’s programs are offered at the Northwest Recreation Complex in Apopka. Stop by, or reach us by email or phone.

Peter Fazekas, USPTA Elite Professional (RSPA Professional 1)

Founder and Director of Coaching

Peter Fazekas (pronounced, FAH-ze-kosh) is Tennis Galaxy’s founder and director of coaching. He earned an Elite Professional (Professional I) coaching certification from the USPTA in 2000 and is Safe Play approved by the U.S. Tennis Association.

Peter was a multi-sport athlete in his native Hungary and earned a Master of Education from the Hungarian University of Physical Education, with coaching certifications in six sports: tennis, gymnastics, swimming, volleyball, track and field, and basketball. Peter's tennis coaching career spans three decades and two continents, from Budapest to London, to Minnesota and Florida.

Peter is a dynamic tennis instructor who helps people of all abilities -- from five-year-olds to elite athletes to aging seniors -- improve their athletic performance through a unique process of connecting thoughts to actions and to internal feedback.

Since founding Tennis Galaxy in Apopka in 2005, Peter has helped improve the lives of hundreds of Central Floridians. He is most proud of his work to inspire entire families to be more active and to eat healthier. Peter has coached multiple youth tennis players to championships and believes in leading by example: he stays healthy and fit, and aims to inspire others to do the same. He is a two-time Florida state tennis champion in the 4.5 Men's Doubles Division with doubles partner and business colleague Ignacio Monsalve.

Peter teaches group classes and one-on-one lessons for all levels — from beginner to elite student.

William “Tony” Raney, PTR 1 | Coach and Hitting Partner

Although Tony was a multi-sport athlete in high school, it is his love of tennis that has been consistent through all phases of his life, including when he left his native Orlando to pursue a career as a professional musician. Tony continued playing tournament and club tennis while away. Upon returning to Florida from Nashville, Tenn. in 2020, Tony discovered the Northwest Recreation Complex in Apopka, where he now can be found almost every day, training, playing and helping others discover a love for tennis.

Now coaching juniors classes and providing individual lessons for youth players, Coach Tony is a committed advocate for mental health, especially for children. He believes physical activity is a powerful tool for healthy development, healing, and management of mental health. Coach Tony strives to nurture a safe, supportive community to help students grow and thrive. He is a PTR Level 1-certified tennis instructor and also is Safe Play approved by the U.S. Tennis Association and First Aid/CPR/AED certified by the American Red Cross.

When he’s not on the court, Tony is watching more tennis, adding to his comic book collection, searching for a great espresso with his wife Kayla, and hiding his tennis gear from the couple's dogs Ranger and Ezra.
